SEVEN YEARS AND COUNTING

The number seven holds great significance in many cultures. And because we are celebrating WorldVentures' seventh year, it also marks an ideal time for us to reflect back on where we were just seven short years ago, where we are now and what is to come.Back then, we were a blip on the screen with a handful of employees, with one country in our portfolio. But despite our humble beginnings, we were a company with a vision and dreams that knew no limits. That vision of becoming the world's leading direct seller of travel was not solely fueled by the desire for increasing revenue. Though that is a goal of any business, our vision was, and continues to be, helping to make people's dreams of traveling the globe and securing success while doing so, a reality. But, our success cannot be measured by the amount of money in an account or by how many silver BMWs are in our Reps' driveways. Rather, after seven years of watching WorldVentures™ grow in leaps and bounds, I believe our success is measured by you. Each and every DreamTrips Member who has taken once-in-a-lifetime excursions to world-wide locales; each person in the WorldVentures family who has been the catalyst for their dreams and the dreams of their families coming true; each employee in our corporate office and our executive team who work tirelessly to offer innovative products and services, dominating our industry as a travel leader; and each person who no longer wants to just daydream about escaping the everyday, but who is ready to make it their reality - all of you make 'us.' Our success is measured by our people and the lives they lead and how they are now able provide for their families and generations to come. This seventh birthday celebration is all because of you. And the next seven years, 10 years, 20 years and beyond will all be possible because of you too.Right now, we have more people achieving success than ever before. We just launched in our 22nd country (hello Ireland!). We are increasing our corporate staff to accommodate the growth we are experiencing in the field. New DreamTrips™ locations are added every week, offering unbelievable experiences and life-long memories. We are one of the top 100 direct sales companies in the world. And with the Manifest Foundation, we have changed hundreds of lives through our philanthropic outreach. Being creative, driven, innovative and transparent has allowed us to thrive and we only anticipate greater things to come as we head into next year.Around the world, seven can also be a symbol of completion. But for WorldVentures, our journey is not complete. We have yet to reach our full potential - I'm looking forward to all that is to come and hope you are as well. So, as we blow out the candles on this year's birthday celebration, I want to thank you for placing your dreams in our hands. We will continue to hold them, nurture them and give you the tools and training needed to make them your own. Happy birthday to you, WorldVentures - and many more!

THE SUCCESS OF WOMEN IN DIRECT-SELLING

“Sisters are Doin’ It for Themselves” and “She Works Hard for the Money” are catchy tunes (we hear you humming!) that thousands of women use as empowerment anthems. And for those who’ve found a second home in direct selling, no songs could better define the hard work they put in or the independence the industry can afford them.October is National Women’s Small Business Month. And when you look at the numbers, especially in direct sales, a month dedicated to the accomplishments of female entrepreneurs makes a lot of sense:  • In 2012, global direct sales totaled more than $166 million.  • Women made up 75% of the global direct sales workforce last year. It’s safe to say that there’s plenty of room for any woman to get her piece of the direct-selling pie. From decadent specialty foods and sleek cookware to gleaming jewels and one-of-a-kind vacation experiences, opportunities abound for women wanting to establish careers in direct sales. But, why are so many women successful in the direct-selling industry? Here’s our take on a couple of reasons:Running on EmpathyWhile one-size-does-not-always-fit all, it’s safe to say that many women are naturally empathetic and understand how to cultivate relationships.  Showing empathy simply means putting yourself in someone else’s shoes and understanding what they want and need. And if you can do that, you’re already a step ahead in the sales game!Whether you’re talking to an on-the-go executive about skin care, a spouse seeking a  special gift or a time-pressed mom in need of vacation options for her family, being empathetic will not only help you assess what products or services your customer really needs, but may also earn you a lifetime customer.To-Do List―Done! The phone’s ringing, dinner needs prepping, travel plans need confirming, the hamster is loose (again) ―and there’s a team call in exactly 1 hour. Good thing women are pros at multi-tasking!Though debates are still ongoing, the universe generally accepts that women are pretty good multi-taskers. And because many direct-selling businesses can be started on a part-time basis, women who foray into the field may find it just a bit easier to make their mark on the business world and still give their personal lives the attention they need.Savvy Shopping StyleThere are lots of titles that women can hold, but we’d like to bet that the majority of them are the CPOs of their households. (That’s Chief Purchasing Officer to you!)According to research, women make or influence 85 percent of purchasing decisions. From everyday grocery purchases to the newest tablet, women have no choice but to be savvy shoppers, especially when considering the members of their households and their needs.Years of balancing budgets, being flexible and making sound financial choices are “unofficial” training for the same types of situations entrepreneurs may find themselves in. And it doesn’t matter if they’re fresh out of college or have a mortgage and 2 kids who need college fundsas savvy consumers, women may have an “unofficial” edge in making these budgeting and purchasing skills work for them as business owners. We’re aware that every woman out there may not possess all of these characteristics. But, since we have so many highly successful, dynamic and “Did she really manage to take care of all of that?” women within WorldVentures as examples, we felt it fitting to celebrate the “fairer sex” this month, too. Do you have some superstar ladies on your teams?  Is there another song that makes you feel all “I am woman, hear me roar!” on the inside? If so, share with us! - See more at: http://www.worldventures.com/blog/read/the-success-of-women-in-direct-selling#sthash.CWJjbTdc.dpuf

Self Confidence

From the quietly confident doctor whose advice we rely on, to the charismatic confidence of an inspiring speaker, self-confident people have qualities that everyone admires.Self-confidence is extremely important in almost every aspect of our lives, yet so many people struggle to find it. Sadly, this can be a vicious circle: People who lack self-confidence can find it difficult to become successful. After all, most people are reluctant to back a project that's being pitched by someone who was nervous, fumbling, and overly apologetic. On the other hand, you might be persuaded by someone who speaks clearly, who holds his or her head high, who answers questions assuredly, and who readily admits when he or she does not know something.Self-confident people inspire confidence in others: their audience, their peers, their bosses, their customers, and their friends. And gaining the confidence of others is one of the key ways in which a self-confident person finds success. The good news is that self-confidence really can be learned and built on. And, whether you’re working on your own self-confidence or building the confidence of people around you, it’s well-worth the effort!

How Confident do you Seem to Others?

Your level of self-confidence can show in many ways: your behavior, your body language, how you speak, what you say, and so on. Look at the following comparisons of common confident behavior with behavior associated with low self-confidence. Which thoughts or actions do you recognize in yourself and people around you?

What is Self-Confidence?

Two main things contribute to self-confidence: self-efficacy and self-esteem.We gain a sense of self-efficacy when we see ourselves (and others similar to ourselves) mastering skills and achieving goals that matter in those skill areas. This is the confidence that, if we learn and work hard in a particular area, we'll succeed; and it's this type of confidence that leads people to accept difficult challenges, and persist in the face of setbacks. This overlaps with the idea of self-esteem, which is a more general sense that we can cope with what's going on in our lives, and that we have a right to be happy. Partly, this comes from a feeling that the people around us approve of us, which we may or may not be able to control. However, it also comes from the sense that we are behaving virtuously, that we're competent at what we do, and that we can compete successfully when we put our minds to it.Some people believe that self-confidence can be built with affirmations and positive thinking. At Mind Tools, we believe that there's some truth in this, but that it's just as important to build self-confidence by setting and achieving goals – thereby building competence. Without this underlying competence, you don't have self-confidence: you have shallow over-confidence, with all of the issues, upset and failure that this brings.

Building Self-Confidence

So how do you build this sense of balanced self-confidence, founded on a firm appreciation of reality? The bad news is that there’s no quick fix, or five-minute solution. The good news is that building self-confidence is readily achievable, just as long as you have the focus and determination to carry things through. And what’s even better is that the things you’ll do to build self-confidence will also build success – after all, your confidence will come from real, solid achievement. No-one can take this away from you!So here are our three steps to self-confidence, for which we’ll use the metaphor of a journey: preparing for your journey; setting out; and accelerating towards success.

Step 1: Preparing for Your Journey

The first step involves getting yourself ready for your journey to self-confidence. You need to take stock of where you are, think about where you want to go, get yourself in the right mindset for your journey, and commit yourself to starting it and staying with it.In preparing for your journey, do these five things:

Look at What You've Already Achieved

Think about your life so far, and list the ten best things you've achieved in an "Achievement Log." Perhaps you came top in an important test or exam, played a key role in an important team, produced the best sales figures in a period, did something that made a key difference in someone else’s life, or delivered a project that meant a lot for your business.Put these into a smartly formatted document, which you can look at often. And then spend a few minutes each week enjoying the success you’ve already had!

Dream Killer

It's time to start taking positivesteps towards living YOUR dreamlifestyle. Here's a tip that can help...==>  Don't listen to your dream killers. What the heck is a dream killer?A dream killer, is somebody who tells you that "you cant"or that "that's not possible."It's that nagging person or voice thatsays over and over again......   "If it sounds too good to be true, than    it probably is."Excuse my French, but what a load of crap!Do you want to know who says that?Only two people buy into that phrase:1. People who have no dreams 2. People who have dreams that will    never accomplish them Here is a tip when trying to decide who andwhat to listen to in regards to trying to createan extra income from home or online. (You may want to write this down because it will guarantee thatyou never listen to a "Dream Killer.")  If the person giving you the advice is not successful  or is not living the life of their dreams, don't  listen. Why in the world would you ever take financial advicefrom somebody who was not financially independentthemselves?I used to get it all the time from my family andfriends."Boy, that looks very good, but if it soundsto good to be true......"Usually they would leave it open like that. I know they always meant well, but the truth is, those that were saying this to me were either broke or nowhere near achieving my goalthat I had for myself.......so why should I listen to them? The whole "if it sounds too good to be true"statement doesn't even make sense whenyou think about it...What are they looking for?Something that sounds crappy enough to be real?I'll give you an example...Think of it this way; if Michael Jordan had told his friends and family in high school that he would be the greatest basketball playerof all time.......most would have said, "Dream on."Some of them would have supported him but theywould have had serious doubts that he couldbe the greatest ever. After all, he did get cut from his high school team. But he had goals and worked his tail off to reachthem. And he did it. My whole point is this:You've heard the statement a thousand times that...."if it sounds too good to be true,it probably is."   ==>  If you buy into that,     ...you...will...never...be...    ...successful. Those that are most successful in lifehave bigger dreams than most people to start. The other thing you need to consider is the sourceof the comment. If those that are making that commentare wildly successful and living the life of theirdreams, listen. If they are not, why are you evenbothering to listen? If I listened to those that told me it was too good to be true........ I would be living my crappy 9 to 5 lifestyle just wishing I could be at the park on a Monday morning with my kids. As it turns out, I had bigger dreams andknew what the possibilities were. The result is that I am living the life that I want and that I choose. And you can, too.  It's simply a choice. That freedom is completely indescribable.I hope that I did not get too "Tony Robbins" onyou there...  :)But I get that issue brought up too often andit's very disturbing to me. People let comments and attitudes get in the way of their dreams whenthey could have realized them so many times byactually listening to those that were living theirdreams and not wishing for them.Do you have big dreams?  -Scott Raley"Freedom Artist"

Questions on World Ventures

Where does the source of income come from to pay the commission to its members?

1.    Worldventures collect commissions through the booking engine Rovia Just like Expedia/ Agoda/ Travelocity/ Priceline etc, the Rovia engine gets paid commissions from the suppliers such as Airlines, Hotels, Cruises, Car rentals for bookings made. However, being a Worldventures member, we get to earn part of these commissions made through our Rovia booking site ; paid to us in the form of Rovia Bucks, which we can then use for future bookings on our site (1 Rovia Buck = 1 US$).  As representatives of Worldventures, we are given 1 Rovia buck for every air ticket purchased. This is so, as margins for air flights are very low. (In ST, one of the local travel agents commented that the reason they charge a service fee for air ticket bookings made with credit card is because margin could be only $10 or less per ticket sold).Worldventures do follow the market rate for hotels, cruises, car rentals, travel insurance depending on the deal payout by the suppliers, it could range from 7%-10% of the billed amount ; of which, Rovia passes on 50% of what they earn to us in the form of Rovia Bucks. (when we book using Rovia Bucks, it goes back to the company  – that’s revenue too)

2. Worldventures revenue also comes from membership fees $360.91 joining feeMonthly feesIn short, Worldventures is a travel club with monthly membership that gives the members access to discounted vacations (known as Dreamtrips). This product is best described as taking the bulk buying concept of Costco or Sam’s Club and applying it to travel. Worldwide in 22 countries, the Worldventures memberships currently stand at more than 300,000 and the numbers are growing every single day. Just like Costco or Sam’s Club, Worldventures will become a household name with millions of members all over the world. Thus, in summary, Worldventures earns from the bookings made through the Rovia booking engine (travel site) and the Worldventures memberships. And from the above sources of income, Worldventures is able to pay the representatives as per ement which shows that just under 30% of Representatives make any money -- is it still a good opportunity?

WorldVentures offers the opportunity for people to plug into a program where they receive training on leveraging their time and efforts to generate an income stream. But, like any business, there are no guarantees--you get out of it what you put into it.It would be irresponsible to claim that someone could be successful with WorldVentures simply by enrolling as a Representative. No one can make such a claim about any business opportunity. WorldVentures makes no such claim. The company endeavors, through the Income Disclosure Statement and compliance-related training, to train all Representatives to present a balanced, accurate portrayal of the WorldVentures opportunity. The data is provided on the WorldVentures’ Income Disclosure Statement to help people fully understand the opportunity being offered. At the core of the company’s foundation is the commitment to provide an honest and fair opportunity. WorldVentures acknowledges the program is not right for everyone, so anyone who is considering the opportunity should have the data needed to get an accurate picture of what the WorldVentures program offers.

Is WorldVentures a card mil?

ASTA (American Society of Travel Agents), the foremost expert on "card mills" has published a white paper entitled "Travel Industry Card Mills: What Consumers and Consumer Protection Agencies Should Know about Travel Industry Card Mills." ASTA defines card mills as businesses that sell deceptive identification cards and packages that falsely identify the purchaser as a "travel agent" and offer these purchasers the chance to pass themselves off as sellers of travel services and thereby obtain discounts, upgrades, and courtesies.WorldVentures is a marketing company. All products are provided by and supported by Rovia, WorldVentures’ exclusive travel partner. Neither company issues identification cards nor credentials of any kind. Moreover, WorldVentures does not promote that a Leisure Travel Consultant (LTC) will or could receive travel industry discounts or benefits of any nature. The company does not make any claims that prospects can “travel like a travel agent” or in any way qualify for rates that they have not specifically earned. Thus, WorldVentures should never be confused with a card mill. In fact, the name "Leisure Travel Consultant" was chosen to help further delineate WorldVentures’ Representatives from traditional travel agents and to avoid any misunderstanding by travel vendors or the public at large.Rovia is an Airline Reporting Corporation/International Airlines Travel Agent Network (ARC/IATAN) travel agency that provides the technology and operational support for WorldVentures’ LTCs. Training is also provided to help LTCs market and sell travel in order to earn travel commissions. Commissions are based on the level of accreditation an LTC has achieved.Rovia has a robust training program that allows a novice to move through different levels of achievement and accreditation to attain privileges and skill sets comparable to members of the traditional travel community. This includes completing Cruise Line Industry Association (CLIA) accreditation as well as travel training and testing developed by Education Systems, a travel industry-recognized educational development company, leading all the way through full Global Distribution System (GDS) proficiency. Further, the education program provided by Education Systems is the same content used in post-secondary travel schools, travel textbooks, and travel training software utilized by many travel industry associations.

WHO'S IN YOUR CIRCLE?

Let’s face it. We all do it and a lot of it. Tweeting. Liking. Updating. Sharing.  Social media has gone from a fun distraction to a daily “must-check” and “must have” tool that businesses use to increase awareness, garner positive publicity, share daily happenings and to, frankly, stay relevant. And though businesses use social media for their own purposes, the truth is, we as individuals are pretty plugged in too. Social networking (in all its avenues) now accounts for one out of every six minutes spent online.  Considering the average time a person spends on a non-social site is less than one minute, it is increasingly apparent that social media is a big influence on our lives and, in turn, in the lives of those around us.In life, we all have our circle of friends.  Those we keep around us tend to be positive and uplifting (and if they’re not, they should be) who we turn to for support, come together with to  share a laugh, unite with over a common cause and just simply enjoy having around us.  There is just as much talk about social media circles. And just as in “real life,” it’s best when those in our social media circles are just as optimistic and just as encouraging as our non-virtual friends.Think about it. Would you allow negative and pessimistic people to hang out with you or constantly fill your days (or timeline) with woe? Of course not! It is important to choose wisely who you associate with, as well as how you associate with them on social media.  Knowing this is true from personal experience, I compiled my top four tips on building the perfect network in social media and thought you might like to see it!

1. Fill Your Networks with Positive People! As the quote says, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” So choose wisely and stay away from people with bad energy. If they show you who they are—and it’s not uplifting for you and in return, your business—believe them and adopt a zero tolerance attitude towards their negativity.

2. Regularly Evaluate Your "Friends" in Your Networks!“False friends are worse than bitter enemies.” The truth of the matter is that not everyone who proclaims to be your friend is really your friend. People, teammates and situations change, so out with the old and in with the new! Consider removing those who are not a positive partner supporting your business goals.

3. Stay Positive – Be Polite – Be Respectful!Be the person you are trying to attract. Birds of a feather often flock together, so surround yourself with those who are like you and vice-versa.

4. Be You!This is probably the most import word of advice I can offer. Bottom line, people like you because of who you are. Showcase your life of fun, freedom, fulfillment and overall well-being to attract like-minded people!

It’s pretty simple when you think about it, right? Surround yourself with like-minded people who have similar goals and together you will go far in life

TICK-TOCK—MANAGE YOUR CLOCK

What crawls as we impatiently wait and flies by when we’re having fun? That’s right—time! But even more important than that is the answer to another question: How well do you manage your time?Between attending trainings, coaching and motivating teams, presenting at travel parties and conducting one-on-ones, it can be a challenge for our Reps (and most people out there) to manage their time. Couple that with life’s everyday routine (taking care of children, doing laundry, walking the dog, etc.) and it’s no wonder that 24 hours in a day still doesn’t seem to be enough.Time management is one of the most critical skills you can have as an entrepreneur—yet it’s also one of the hardest to master. To help you get on the right track, here are a few of our favorite time- management practices:

Word of the Day—PrioritizePlanning your day is probably the easiest first step in managing your time. Go hi-tech and use an app to record everything you’d like to accomplish or keep it old-school with a handwritten list. Either way, a itemizing and prioritizing keeps you from overlooking important tasks. And crossing it off your to-do list is oh so satisfying.

Ding! Buzz! Ring! If you have a constantly ringing phone or a chime sounding every time you get an email, it can definitely be a distraction. When you have a task, block out specific times on your calendar, let the phone go to voicemail and check your email once you’ve finished working on your project. GO TEAM (CULTURE)!

Do we have a team culture?” “Why do we need a team culture?” “What is team culture?”Any of these questions sound familiar? Whether you’re starting with a team of 2 or leading 20,000, outlining your team’s culture and putting it into practice has long-term benefits for not just you and them, but also those who are ready to join in and see what all of the excitement surrounding WorldVentures is about! The term “team culture” may seem like an abstract concept, but it’s simple. Expectations, practices and accepted norms under which your team operates is your team culture. That said, as WorldVentures Reps, your team culture should ideally reflect the culture of the company. And with our guiding policy of incorporating fun, freedom and fulfillment into everyday life, outlining your individual team culture should be an enjoyable experience.Within the corporate office, our aptly named “Culture Committee” works hard (and has a ridiculous amount of fun) planning activities for our staff. And as the leader of your team, congrats—you’re the head of your culture committee! It’s important to consider what type of culture your team members need to thrive and what attracts new members to your team. Remember—an established team culture pays off for everyone involved. When the atmosphere is charged with positive energy, open communication is encouraged and trust is expected, how can you go wrong?

Lead by ExampleYour team follows your lead, so make sure you set a great example! It should be the norm for them to “plug in” and attend trainings, know all there is to know about WorldVentures’ products and, of course, getting away on a DreamTrip. This will only happen as you show them it’s the way for them to succeed.

Recognize Your StarsMake it a point to celebrate the victories your team achieves. A personal congratulatory phone call, a bouquet of flowers, a gift card to a favorite store—the smallest tokens of appreciation for their hard work cultivates a culture of gratitude, which goes a long way to making your team the one everybody wants to be on!

Show Off Your SpiritWhenever Reps gather at our training events and conferences, it’s easy to spot (and hear!) certain teams. With customized t-shirts, rhinestone-adorned tanks and chants and calls that echo across even the widest convention floors, showcasing team spirit is a highly visible way to show off your team’s culture to everyone.

These are a few of our ideas. Now, share with us how you promote a positive team culture! - See more at: http://www.worldventures.com/blog/read/go-team-culture#sthash.QStqpj7L.dpuf

Momentum

The clock struck midnight, and just like that, 2014 arrived. And like clockwork, millions took the opportunity to make New Year’s resolutions. Along with the standard promises to be healthy and travel more, many of those resolutions focused on making more money in the New Year. For many, that goal is to do just that, through WorldVentures.I would love to see everyone who’s made this resolution have it come to fruition. In order for it to happen, it's imperative that they get off to a good start and that’s why January is when we kick-off our Momentum training events! This year, we’ll start in Louisville, Kentucky, followed by a trip across the pond to London; from there, it’s on to South Africa and Singapore. Whew!

Our objective is to get as many Reps off to a fast start with their business in 2014 as quickly as possible.  I’m excited to attend all four events, especially because I’ll be joined by some of WorldVentures top business-builders including Troy Brown, Matt Morris, Julio Acosta Jr., Kari Schneider and Jeff Bolf, just to name a dynamic few!

The knowledge this team shares will add significant value to everyone who attends.  From the brand new Rep who has yet to make their first sale, to the most experienced and successful people we have in our ranks. We’ll show thousands how to either "Create" and "Maintain” the momentum they want to have in their business or "Advance" the momentum they already have.

And it’s not just our Reps’ businesses that will benefit. After every big event like Momentum, we get a slew of emails and communications from Reps sharing how the event helped them outside their WorldVentures business. The training, personal stories and motivation our trainers provide help our Reps in their careers and even in their personal and family lives. Talk about impact!

We’ve already had record-breaking attendance numbers for Momentum in Kentucky and numbers increase daily in all of the other markets. All in all, I expect we’ll train close to 20,000 people through our Momentum events this year. Yes, you read that correctly –20,000! That means that WorldVentures is set for another record-breaking banner year, and many of our Reps will ride that same wave of success as they build their sales.

This is all great news, but here’s the real question: Will you and your team be plugging in to this power source, jump-starting your 2014 dreams? I truly hope that you will be. I’ve been saying that "It’s time" for the last 6 months or so and now, more than ever, it is.

Let us help you keep your resolutions this year to hit―and exceed― your goals! Plug in, power up and we’ll see you at Momentum!

Real Stories and Testimonials from WorldVentures’ Members

When I was first introduced to WorldVentures I was extremely skeptical. Although I know very successful people in network marketing, those companies just never could get me passionate. So reluctantly I took a closer look, got involved and tapped into the amazing trainings and big events WV offers. So far it has been the best decision I have ever made. Now I am making a residual income, have made amazing friends, and am now able to travel much smarter. WorldVentures is my ticket to buy my life back." "- Levi Anderson, Maple Grove, MN

"I got involved with WorldVentures on May 17, 2010, and since I have been a part I have been on 5 different vacations and just booked at $69 cruise to the Bahamas for February 2011. WorldVentures has allowed me to meet some awesome successful people who have great big hearts. Not only have I been able to meet such great people but having the ability to network with them and obtain information they are willing to share about their success has been golden. WorldVentures has absolutely changed my life and has created a way for me to "Make A Living...Living." I want to say thank you WorldVentures."- Lee Morgan, Greensboro, NC

"We were very skeptical when our friend wanted to share WorldVentures with us. We literally watched the online presentation for the sole reason of being able to tell our friend "no". However, upon seeing the products, we immediately saw lots of benefits not only for us, but for the people we care about. We had no idea how good it really was and we have been pleasantly surprised by how the leaders of WorldVentures just keep making it better and better for all of us. We have been on seven DreamTrips now and can attest to the value and quality. We've had the time of our lives, saved thousands of dollars, made incredible memories with our friends and family, and made new friendships that will last a lifetime. All thanks to DreamTrips. We would share this with people whether we get paid to or not. But not long after joining, our mortgage business income started to suffer. Thankfully, the income and friendships from this business helped carry us through some difficult times."- Jon Litlefield & Paula Coquelet, Gilbert, AZ

We have been with WorldVentures for a year, and although I am not where I want to be, I am on the track to get there with the help of my team and WV leaders.I refuse to quit, I just keep pressing on. As a Mother of five children, my husband and I have worked hard with almost nothing to show in return. I have my bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, but after receiving it, no longer wanted to work in that field. My husband works 2 jobs while I substitute for Middle and High Schools here in San Antonio. He took on the second job so I could work diligently towards our goals in WorldVentures. Knowing that the money will come eventually, is awesome, but the relationships we have built along the way mean so much more. WorldVentures has literally become my family, and in so doing I am so passionate about what WV represents for many people out there who have given up on life, as I once did. In all honesty WV has not only changed my life, but saved my life. "- Anita Costley-Eggleston, San Antonio, TX

Champion Full Potential

How has your plan been working out for you? You know―the plan. The plan laced with fantasy as children, slightly focused on in high school, and the ones we built our majors around in college. The one you wrote down in your high school yearbook, moved to that new city for and maybe once or twice when things weren’t exactly as you thought they should be, shed a few tears over. The plan on what you wanted to be when you grew up.The great—and  sometimes not so great—part about having a plan is that it may not always pan out exactly how you envisioned. For a myriad of reasons, we exercise our free will and deviate from what we thought we wanted, and in the process, may discover exactly what we needed instead. When plans change, we often have two choices to make: Roll with it or let it roll over us. For some, a change of plans can cause them to tailspin, setting them adrift, going wherever the waves may take them.  But for others, change shows them that they are adaptable, strong and open to the possibilities that await them.  They don’t worry about the rain that is falling―they anticipate the rainbow that is coming. One of WorldVentures’ Core Values is “Champion Full Potential.”  For many of our Reps, I think they can honestly attest that their original plans did not include WorldVentures. Maybe their plan was college. Maybe it was securing the corner office by the time they were 30. Perhaps it went no further than high school graduation. Perhaps it was aspiring to take at leastone family vacation sometime. Or maybe it was working however many hours their bodies could tolerate, in hopes that their children could receive a top-notch education or they could one day build their dream home. Either way, most probably did not see WorldVentures as a part of their plan.Whatever plan change led Reps to our company, they astound us daily. Some who admitted to having had a hard time with focus and finding motivation, now lead teams of hundreds or maybe even thousands of Reps. Others who had difficulty speaking to small gatherings of people, now command the stage with charismatic and enthralling words of wisdom and motivation. Still more have dug deep inside themselves, finding strength that helps them weather challenges with their business, while still being able to keep a focus on their “why” and not letting anyone or anything stop them. This is the essence of “Champion Full Potential.” WorldVentures has become the vehicle of change for our Reps and they are here and showing up and showing out. Discovering one’s full potential does not happen overnight, nor does it come when situations are comfortable, safe or predictable. Championing full potential means learning more about yourself through trials and challenges. It means charging yourself daily to learn more and never stop learning more. When you champion your full potential, you discover that your story of achievement motivates others and you make it your mission to help others achieve their dreams and goals.During our recent UNITED! event, every attendee embodied what “Champion Full Potential” means. No matter the age, nationality, income or personal goal, every attendee, just by their presence alone, demonstrated the ability to look inside themselves, stay the course, work hard, reap the benefits and help others find their way. The found the lesson in every experience they’ve gone through and when their original plan presented an obstacle, they found a different path to WorldVentures and began blazing their own trails. They did not drift idly as waters carried them away―they spotted a new life on the horizon and swam towards it.- See more at: http://www.worldventures.com/blog/read/champion-full-potential#sthash.dD8xZSOd.dpuf

FOUR BOOKS EVERY ENTREPRENEUR SHOULD READ

“The SPEED of Trust: The One Thing that Changes Everything”by Stephen M. R. CoveyThousands of WorldVentures Reps had the thrill of hearing Stephen M.R. Covey speak on his concept of trust at the 2013 WorldVentures’ International Convention Since then, his “The SPEED of Trust: The One that that Changes Everything” has become one of our new favorite reads. Labeling trust as a “performance multiplier” and an often overlooked aspect of both professional and personal relationships, this book should be read carefully by anyone who wants to understand the balance between trust and a company’s structure.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen R. Covey The Covey name is synonymous with business, accountability and personal development.First published in 1989, “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” was named one of “The 25 Most Influential Business Management Books” by Time magazine and remains a business best-seller. Written to encourage a mind-shift, the “7 Habits” seem simplistic on the surface, but the principles have led millions to a more focused and purpose-filled existence.-

“The Dream Giver: Following Your God-Given Destiny”by Bruce WilkinsonStarting with the story of “Ordinary” who resided in the “Land of Familiar,” Wilkinson’s work is all about the pursuit of dreams and overcoming the obstacles that stand in the way of achieving them. Written in an easy-to-read format, the journeys of “Ordinary,” “Anybody,” “Somebody” and more reignites the desire to make your “Big Dream” your new reality.

“Rich Dad, Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money-That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not!”by Robert KiyosakiTalk about a mouth full! This New York Times best-seller is the first in a series of books written by Kiyosaki, a motivational speaker, investor and financial entrepreneur. Advocating establishing financial independence with wealth-building investments, this book turned the definition of “asset” on its ear when first published. Though its contents caused plenty of controversy, we’ll let you read it for yourself and be the judge!

Motivation is key

Mission Motivation - Each day, our Representatives discover there is nothing more liberating than deciding to take their lives and financial freedom into their own hands. There is definitely something to be said for being able to take a conference call from anywhere in the world, earning extra income and helping others fulfill their dreams.Though the decision to live a richer life can be thrilling, one of the largest hurdles for any entrepreneur can be something that we all lack from time to time—motivation. When calendars are full of presentations, people to meet, and a barrage of emails and phone calls to tend to—motivation abounds! It’s during the times when the phone may not ring as much, a presentation is cancelled or you’re one “no” away from throwing in the towel when motivation sinks like the proverbial stone.

Become a Goal Keeper - Have you ever heard the question, “How do you eat an elephant?” The answer? “One bite at a time.” A great way to keep your motivation at maximum levels is to set goals for yourself. Setting goals will give you purpose and accomplishing them will spur you to achieve more. Are you making three contacts a day right now? Set a goal to make five. Did you attend one training event last year? Promise yourself to attend three this year. While it’s great to have long-term goals (like achieving IMD status), be sure you celebrate the steps you take to attain them.At the end of the day, only you determine how far you will travel in life. So when you find your motivation dwindling, remember that attitude definitely determines your altitude.

Though the decision to live a richer life can be thrilling, one of the largest hurdles for any entrepreneur can be something that we all lack from time to time—motivation.

THE DIRECT SELLING OPPORTUNITY: MAKE YOUR CHOICE

According to the Direct Selling Association, 15.9 million people worked in the direct sales industry in 2012, generating more than 31.63 billion in sales! Each day, thousands of people make the decision to leave the rat race, hang the “CEO” sign on their own doors and embark on the journey of business ownership.  And for many entrepreneurial spirits, the direct selling (or multi-level marketing) business model is one they can embrace.Direct selling offers the flexibility to own your own business, create your own schedule, work with enthusiastic like-minded people and more. Direct sales representatives (also called consultants or distributors) sell services and products, often through home parties or by word-of-mouth. And the industry is rife with opportunity. According to the Direct Selling Association, 15.9 million people worked in the direct sales industry in 2012, generating more than 31.63 billion in sales! You’re not alone if you desire more from life. And whatever your “more” is, (time with loved ones, discretionary income or flexibility in your daily schedule), embarking on a career in direct sales can lead to belief in yourself and truly change your life. But, choosing the right opportunity is just as important as choosing to work in the industry, so think about the following as you decide the best direct selling opportunity for you:Choosing the Right Direct Selling Company for YouIdentify Your PassionAre you a budding foodie or chef? Do your friends always have a health or weight loss question for you, the “healthy one”? Or maybe you love adding new stamps to your passport as you travel the world? Whatever you’re passionate about, there’s probably a direct sales company with a product that truly excites you and that you’d be proud to represent. If you don’t believe in something, you can’t show others how to be excited about it.For WorldVentures Reps (all 110,000 of them) travel is what ignites their passion! Whether enjoying VIP-style treatment on a DreamTrip or introducing the WorldVentures business concept, they serve as ambassadors for a brand that has literally changed thousands of lives the world over.Know Your GoalIf you’re looking to earn enough extra income to pay off a few bills each month, the time you dedicate to your new business may be different than if you want to turn your 30-year mortgage in a 10-year one. Going into the industry with identified goals will help you make a more informed decision about the company you want to invest both your time and money in.If you’re fired up about the business and know what you ultimately want to gain from it, your commitment will also increase. This can lead to getting more than you bargained for, but in a good way! Many of our Reps have met the original goals they had when joining the company and have continuously challenged themselves to achieve higher ones, like earning our BMW car bonus, buying their dream home or earning enough extra income to retire their parents.Ask QuestionsWhat they say is true―there really is no such thing as a dumb question! Any questions about the new venture you’re considering should be answered easily by anyone you know in that business.Ask questions about the company, the income potential, how training is conducted, etc. You should know what you’re getting into before you get into it!You should also expect truth and transparency from the direct sales company you choose to work with. For our goal of becoming the most trusted name in the direct selling industry, WorldVentures has established the WorldVentures Trust Council. Formed as part of our global commitment to corporate social responsibility, the WorldVentures Trust Council includes members of our corporate staff as well as Representative leaders worldwide. This is the step that WorldVentures has taken to answer many questions people have about us.Going into business for yourself is one of the biggest decisions you can make, but it can also be one of the most rewarding. Call us biased, but we feel the direct sales industry is an ideal platform to take that leap of faith and declare yourself the boss of your life. And if WorldVentures is your choice, or one you’re considering, we’d love to hear what makes us the option for you!

Facts on how World Ventures is NOT a pyramid scheme

Is WorldVentures a pyramid scheme?

WorldVentures is not a pyramid scheme. WorldVentures is a legitimate network marketing (also known as direct selling) business focused on travel and lifestyle products. Pyramid schemes are illegal, do not deliver on any product or service being sold, and are a form of fraud. This article by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) offers a very comprehensive explanation.WorldVentures passes the "pyramid test" primarily because the company does not pay commissions based on recruiting new Representatives. Rather, commissions are paid solely on the sale of retail products: the DreamTrips Memberships, Luxury DreamTrips Memberships, and the Leisure Travel Consultant package. These products are not sold at inflated prices and since they are not physically tangible items, Representatives do not carry any inventory. In 2009, WorldVentures launched a new B2B division that markets the DreamTrips Membership as an employee benefit directly to companies, with no mention of the Leisure Travel Consultant opportunity. To date, thousands of customers have already enrolled as members through this employee benefit program.WorldVentures is not an opportunity where you make millions of dollars in income overnight. It’s a viable business similar to other direct selling companies such as Mary Kay, Pre-Paid Legal, Tupperware, Avon, and many other successful companies utilizing a home-based business distribution model. In fact, noted industrialists and corporations utilize the network marketing model as well. For example: Warren Buffet (Berkshire Hathaway) owns The Pampered Chef; Sir Richard Branson, of Virgin fame, also owned Virgin Vie, which distributes cosmetics and skincare products in Europe; and banking giant CitiGroup owns Primerica Insurance Company. Even clothing giant Jockey owns and operates Jockey Person-to-Person.

Reviews on world ventures

Review and trust on world ventures

We’re on the path of building something that is truly remarkable and it makes my heart proud. Happy Holidays and here’s to changing the world. No matter which traditions you observe, the holiday season is a time to treasure. There’s nothing better than creating memories and celebrating the joyous spirit that ushers in this time of year.  For me, the holidays are also an opportune time to reflect on WorldVentures’ banner year. Meshing the world of travel and direct-sales was unproven when we were founded. Now, after celebrating our eight-year anniversary, we continue to prove to the world that we’re thriving and are here to stay!  Every story has a beginning and WorldVentures is no different. Our start was humble; there was not a dollar of outside funding. But, we’ve grown in a way that’s awe-inspiring, considering we started with a handful of employees, very few DreamTrips and we occupied a very small office space. A huge contributing factor has been our executive decision-making for the company, which in turn, has been influenced by  the valuable feedback from our Reps and DreamTrips members. There have been hurdles, mistakes and even painful experiences, but they’ve made us stronger and we’ve grown as people and leaders. Now, we have a thriving business, and are changing the lives of thousands through travel. Our success shows the world that what we’re doing is needed. This year, our continued commitment to trust, the introduction of game-changing programs and our mission to continually make a difference in the world has elevated us to being second-to-none in our industry: The news that comes out of the business world isn’t always positive. A lot of that is due to companies over-promising and under-delivering. And that troubling trend is exactly why we’ve set out to become the most trusted brand within our industry. With a trust advocate in our corner, like Stephen M. R. Covey, who spoke at our international convention, we’ve taken some early positive steps in establishing a new industry standard around trust. DreamTrips Rewards and “Share the Experience. Reap the Rewards.” benefited and empowered both Reps and DreamTrips Members. Back in 2005, we offered only 15 DreamTrips, had scant technology and there were definitely no points earned toward DreamTrips! Today, these programs continue to set us apart and are absolute game-changers. The WorldVentures Foundation just assisted in building the 13th Bottle School in Guatemala this year and has built more than 30 schools to date. Having traveled to Guatemala with my own family, I know how inspiring this bonding and learning experience can be.  Every school we help build is a major accomplishment not only for us, but for the communities they serve.  The Foundation has also partnered in the construction of DreamCourts, rehabbed several Boys & Girls Club facilities across the country and orchestrated auctions, “Fun Runs” and other events that have furthered our joint mission to give back to the world we live in.  If I had to choose one word that sums up WorldVentures this year, it would be “determined.” We’ve invested in our tools, people and technology. We’re entering the biggest growth phase the company has ever experienced, bringing on people who share and believe in our Core Values. Our employees, our Reps and our DreamTrips Members give me so much conviction and certainty in our future. It’s incredible to witness and be a part of the attitude, passion, dedication and love that you all give.  We’re on the path of building something that is truly remarkable and it makes my heart proud. Happy Holidays and here’s to changing the world!
